Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has announced he is engaged, saying the news ‘definitely tops off’ an incredible year.

Cooper became the breakout celebrity of the Amazon Prime series, which follows Jeremy Clarkson’s attempts to farm 1,000 acres of land in the Cotswolds, after it premiered last year.

The gang will soon have two seasons under their belt – the second due for release in February next year – while the programme has already been renewed for a third instalment.

But while the hugely popular series has proven to be an instant hit with fans, Cooper has had plenty of happiness offscreen, too, having not only recently announced he is expecting a second child with girlfriend Taya, but that the pair are now also engaged.

Sharing the happy news with fans yesterday (Sunday 25 December), Cooper wrote on Instagram: “She said yes! 2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off.

“I honestly can’t wait for 2023 and all the following years after that. @tayaaaxx your my best friend as well as the love of my life. Was a long wait for this (6 and a half years).”

The post was accompanied by a smiley outdoor selfie, with that ring in clear view.

His wife-to-be commented: “I LOVE YOU CAN’T WAIT TO MARRY YOU!”

Jeremy Clarkson’s daughter Emily, 28, also passed on her best wishes, writing: “Yayyyyyy congrats guys!”

Just four weeks ago, the star had also announced that 'baby Cooper number 2' was coming soon.

Posing with their toddler Oscar, the family held up a scan photo, while a caption said: "So excited to announce that baby Cooper number 2 is cooking nicely.

"My number one goal is to buy myself a farm and be able to bring my kids up enjoying what I think is the best lifestyle which is the farming lifestyle."

The couple also have a second child on the way.

Despite the excitement of his engagement, Cooper revealed he would still be having to work hard at Christmas - but was still sure to fit in a good festive feast for the family.

Posting a photo of him holding a 9.9kg turkey, he said: "Would just like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

"I know it’s early but I’ve got a busy couple of days! I will be tending to all the animals over Christmas but mostly will be trying to fit this turkey in my oven."

The next instalment of Clarkson's Farm is due to hit screens on 10 February next year.

The date drop came earlier this month, when the show shared a cryptic post containing 'fun facts' about the show - all of which turned out to be clues.

In order to solve the mystery, fans had to swipe through the post for clues and post their result in the comments.

“Jeremy lost 10 acres of crops during his first year of farming,” the first fact read.

The second teaser said: “Kaleb gets his hair cut in February.”

A third clue added: “It can take 2023 hours for a potato to grow.”

And for anyone who hadn't quite managed to piece it together, two bonus clues explained how Charlie's 'favourite season' was spring, and that Jeremy had 'two painful sheep encounters' in season one.

That's right: Clarkson’s Farm series two will air 10 February 2023 on Amazon Prime.
