Kaleb Cooper has broken his silence on rumours that he had been ‘replaced’ for the newest season of Clarkson’s Farm.
This follows the earliest trailers for the Clarkson's Farm's newest season in which it was revealed that, due to Kaleb’s speaking tour around the UK, Clarkson would be bringing in another farmer to help him out.
This ended up being Harriet Cowan, a young farmer and nurse who helps the presenter run his farm.
Clarkson’s Farm season four, which is releasing on Prime Video tomorrow, focuses largely on the presenter setting up his first pub.
Whilst this is the main focus of season four, the TV show still covers the day to day running of the farm, something that Clarkson is shown to massively struggle with.
Harriet Cowan stars in the new season of Clarkson's Farm (Prime Video) Kaleb, ahead of the release of season four, appeared on ITV’s
This Morning, discussing the show with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
With the rumours that Cowan had replaced him on the farm being one of the big talking points ahead of season four, Shephard and Deeley nearly straight away asked Kaleb about them.
The farmer and TV star however was quick to clear up the rumours, saying: “No, I’m still involved, lots of rumours going out that I’ve been replaced, I’m still here.”
Addressing Harriet’s work on the farm he said that he was ‘very grateful’ she had been brought in whilst he was off, saying she had ‘saved the day’.
Talking about season four of the show itself, the farmer joked that the newest series was easier due to Clarkson being at the pub most of the time.
Kaleb Cooper has been the main star of Clarkson's Farm alongside the former Top Gear presenter (Prime Video via ITV) He then went on to admit, however, that Clarkson was actually becoming a better farmer, saying he was actually a very good pig farmer.
The new season, which stars Clarkson and Cooper alongside familiar faces Lisa Hogan, Charlie Ireland, and Gerald Cooper, as well as a new face in Harriet.
Harriet herself has stayed fairly tight-lipped about season four, posting very little about the show outside of official clips and a confirmation on Instagram she would be appearing, posting a trailer with the caption: “Ekkkk something exciting is coming on the 23rd of may.”
Whilst Clarkson himself has said that Harriet is ‘brilliant’, he was previously forced to take to Instagram to clear up rumours that she had replaced Kaleb.
The presenter claimed that, due to a drought that was wreaking havoc on his farm, he hadn’t had time to do the planned press and PR for the fourth season of Clarkson’s Farm.
Despite that though he said that it was ‘annoying’ to hear rumours that Cooper had been ‘replaced’.
He clarified that he hadn’t before explaining what happened, saying: “What happened is this, he went away on his speaking tour for a couple of months because he imagined that, after four years, I’d be able to manage on my own.
“I didn’t, I made a complete mess of everything and had to bring in a young farmer called Harriet who was brilliant and looked after the fort till he got back. That’s it, that’s the story.”
Clarkson’s Farm season four releases on Prime Video tomorrow (23 May).
