Jeremy Clarkson addresses Kaleb Cooper being ‘replaced’ on Clarkson’s Farm series four by new farmhand

The trailers for the new series seems to imply Cooper is replaced by Harriet Cowan

Jeremy Clarkson has addressed the fact that Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, has been ‘replaced’ by a new farmhand.

The revelation came in the newest trailer for Clarkson’s Farm season four, with Clarkson being forced to bring in a new farmhand due to Kaleb Cooper’s much busier life.

Cooper has become a famous face off the back of the success of Clarkson’s farm TV show, and ended up going on a live speaking tour.

In the trailer for season four it is revealed that Clarkson has brought in Harriet Cowan, a 24-year-old full time nurse and farmer - who has now spoken up about her new Clarkson's Farm role.

Taking to Instagram, she shared the season four trailer alongside the caption: "Ekkkk. Something exciting is coming on the 23rd of May."

While many saw the trailer as confirming Kaleb had been replaced by Harriet, Clarkson has addressed this in a new Instagram video.

He said that due to an ongoing drought he doesn’t have time to do all the planned press and PR for the show’s fourth season, adding that this was ‘annoying’ because there was something he wanted to address – the idea that Cooper had been ‘replaced’ on Diddly Squat farm.

He says: “Well he hasn’t, he’s over there now.”

The TV host then points over to Cooper driving a vehicle, before explaining what actually happened.

Clarkson said: “What happened is this, he went away on his speaking tour for a couple of months because he imagined that, after four years, I’d be able to manage on my own.

“I didn’t, I made a complete mess of everything and had to bring in a young farmer called Harriet who was brilliant and looked after the fort till he got back.

“That’s it, that’s the story.”

Fans on Instagram were relieved to hear it, with one commenting comparing Cooper to his former Top Gear co-star.

They commented: “Kaleb is the new James May. They fight for a bit and then they're mates.”

Another said: “Glad Kaleb is still around, great comedy duo (and farmers) keep making and I will keep watching.”

Whilst Kaleb is back on the farm, the synopsis for the newest season of the show seems to imply that he will be less than pleased when he returns.

Part of the synopsis reads: “Diddly Squat isn’t much of a refuge, either. There’s a farm manager returning from his tour to discover someone else has been farming his patch.”

Combined with the fact that Cooper is now back and working on the farm again seems to predict some kind of conflict when he comes back to someone else working the farm.

Whatever comes of it, one commenter on Clarkson’s post made a good point about how his video will likely spell a good time for fans.

They commented: “If you are making a mess out of everything in the farm, then that only means one thing for us: GREAT content."
