Deadpool 3’s release date confirmed with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine

Deadpool 3’s release date confirmed with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds has dropped a huge bombshell about the threequel.

Hugh Jackman is officially coming back as Wolverine for Deadpool 3.

Ryan Reynolds, the star of the incredible superhero franchise, posted a video where he not only confirmed the incredible news, but he also announced the movie's release date.

The Canadian actor said Deadpool's arrival into the Marvel Cinematic Universe had to be huge.

"I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth and motivation, new meaning," he said in the cheeky Twitter video.

Reynolds added: "Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside, and I…I have nothing…yeah…just…completely…empty up there…and terrifying."

And what other way to do that than by getting one of the biggest names in the superhero realm to star in your film.

The currently unnamed Deadpool 3 will be released in September 2024.

It's rather devastating knowing we'll have to wait two more years before we can feast our eyes on this duo coming together.

So much can happen in two trips around the sun.

Reynolds has been getting stuck into his training to once again portray the Merc with the Mouth.

Don Saladino, the personal trainer who dubs himself as bloke who 'trains superheroes for movies', recently posted a photo of him with the Canadian actor.

Very little is known about the third instalment to the epic film franchise.

What has been drip-fed to the world is that it will be nothing short of amazing and could even rival some of the biggest threequels in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to reveal what’s in store for the MCU while promising a ‘big swing’ for the third Deadpool film.

“How do we elevate it in the way we’ve been able to with Civil War, and Infinity War and Ragnarok?” said Kevin Feige.

“It’s very fun to be in the world of the Ryan Reynolds show.”

Bob's Burgers writers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin have been commissioned to write the third movie.

They jumped onboard after Reynolds and the team at Marvel decided their pitch was the ‘perfect fit’ for Deadpool's introduction into the MCU, according to Collider.
