A 'Chicken Run' Sequel Has Just Been Announced

Chicken Run fans can rejoice as filmmakers announce that a sequel is coming, 18 years after the first film was released.

The first Chicken Run followed the lives of feathered friends who plotted their journey to freedom from their cooped up lives on a chicken farm. It was incredible.

After huge success, it has now been announced that a second film is coming, the follow on from the 'most successful stop-motion animated film of all time'.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, StudioCanal and Pathe are 'developing the follow-up' with Sam Fell as director.

Dreamworks

Sam has previously worked on stop-motion ParaMornman and comedy Flushed Away, so it sounds like the eagerly anticipated sequel is in pretty good hands.

While little details have yet been released about the sequel, it's thought that production will begin one Shaun the Sheep Movie 2 has been completed.
