Following all the drama of Roxanne Pallett storming out of the Celebrity Big Brother house after accusing her fellow housemate, Ryan Thomas, of punching her, the truth about it all is finally out.

Roxanne has admitted that she 'got it wrong' when she accused the Coronation Street actor of punching her 'five or six times' with a deliberate intention of hurting her.

The former Emmerdale actor has been under huge amounts of fury and outrage from viewers since she made the allegations.

She appeared on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 and revealed she is attempting to rebuild her career after the 'punchgate' scandal created in CBB.

During the interview with Matthew Wright, who has hosting the show in the absence of Vine, when she was asked whether Ryan had touched her in the incident, Roxanne said he did, but admitted: "When I look back on that footage, as soon as I left the house... I got it wrong."

She continued to apologise to Ryan for the accusations she made.

Roxanne said: "Everything in that house becomes heightened, a look, an action, a comment. All I can say is in the moment, it felt worse than it was. It was the word deliberately that I regret, massively."

She added: "I massively apologise to not only Ryan, but his friends, his family, his fans, every single person who watched that and who justifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn't a malicious act. Because I am sensitive, I mistook what was playful.

"There was no malicious intention behind that, and that is what I apologise for because I shouldn't have questioned his motivation. I got it wrong."

Along with her admission, Roxanne spoke about her previous experience suffering from domestic abuse, which she says was clear due to her reaction of the incident with Ryan.

She said: "I've worked with Women's Aid because of my own experience, and perhaps they were right that my reaction was a telltale sign of my experience.

"I'd be devastated and mortified to think that one person would think I've discredited or undermined abuse."

Ryan was left in tears as he struggled to understand how he could be accused of violence with what he had intended to be a "show of affection".

Former Corrie star Ryan broke down in the CBB Diary Room multiple times after he was given a formal warning by the show for the altercation.
