The Scene Cut From ‘Deadpool 2’ Post-Credits Scene Was Dark AF

There's no denying that Deadpool pushed the boundaries of the superhero genre because of its high level of violence, crude jokes, digs at the MCU and the DCU, nudity and of course swearing.

But apparently they pushed the envelope a little too far in the sequel, which comes out this week.

MCU Cosmic reports that there were five post-credit scenes that the studio had approved. But that all changed when they actually saw the last one. It involved Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) going back in time and finding himself in a hospital with new-born babies.

He reportedly walked over to a crib labelled A. Hitler and as another baby in the room started crying, the superhero said: "Shut up Ira, you'll thank me someday!"

The last thing we were supposed to see was from Hitler's perspective showing Deadpool strangling him.

Looks like 20th Century Fox deemed murdering a baby, even if it's Hitler, was a bit much.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe fan website reported that the scene made people uncomfortable in the test screenings and that's when it was given the chop.

While it's sad that we won't get to see that scene on the big screen, at least we know that Deadpool 2 is apparently even better than the first.

Those lucky few who have been given a sneak peek at the movie (because that's kind of their job) have taken to social media to give their seal of approval.

Uproxx's Mike Ryan wrote: "Didn't like the first Deadpool. DEADPOOL 2 beat me into submission until I was actually enjoying myself. Also, it features my now favourite post-credit scene."

Collider's Steven Weintraub said: "Happy to report Deadpool 2 is a lot of fun and had me laughing beginning to end. Stuff after the credits is *awesome*. All the people added to the film were perfectly cast. Avoid spoilers. Always makes it a better experience."

Indiewire's Kate Erbland posted this: "I'll say this, it earns the hell out of that R rating. And the cameos. And the post-credit scenes."

And People's Nigel M Smith penned: "Deadpool 2 is no doubt the most violent major release since Kill Bill Volume 1. It's also funnier than the first and has me genuinely excited for a sequel. Oh, and it features a ton of Canada jokes, so of course I loved it."

Do we need to say more? The film comes out in the UK on May 15 so there's only a few hours before we can feast our eyes on its brilliance.
