Charlize Theron makes 'weird' comment about married Odyssey co-star's body
Charlize Theron has heaped praise on co-star Matt Damon's insane physical transformation for The Odyssey.
The two actors shared a lot of screen time during Christopher Nolan's nearly three-hour-long film, starring as Odysseus and Calypso, the latter an immortal goddess who falls in love with the long-suffering general and tries to convince him to stay with her on a secluded island.
Theron recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what it was like to work with Damon while shooting the scenes, with the Mad Max actor revealing that she'd been very impressed with the 55-year-old's physical transformation.
"I've seen him without all of that suit on. He's incredible. Incredible," Theron said of her co-star's ripped body.

She then went on to joke that it felt 'wrong' to be looking at Damon in the buff, saying: "I’m, like, staring at him weirdly. I’m looking at his ass."
"I shouldn’t do that! That’s just wrong," she added, before doubling down on how 'amazing' the actor's body looked.
Damon and Theron's scenes were mostly shot in Malta, with Calypso's Cave being filmed on the island of Gozo, while part of Odysseus' seven years with Calypso was controversially filmed in Western Sahara, according to The Radio Times, a territory which is under partial military occupation by neighbouring Morocco.

Nolan's epic, his first film since Oscar-winning Oppenheimer, has been the most anticipated film of 2026 so far.
Dividing viewers with the decision to use modern English dialects and American accents, as well as Nolan shooting on 70mm IMAX cameras, meaning the film can only be properly viewed at 41 cinemas worldwide, have all been major talking points in the film world over the past couple of months.
Despite some confusion over Zeus' Law and the 'Sea Peoples', reactions to the film have been overwhelmingly positive so far, currently sitting at a 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing.
Empire magazine has called the adaptation a 'worthy new translation of an ancient text', while a review from the London Evening Standard described Nolan's work as 'an epic worthy of the gods'.
Critics have also heaped praise on the film's absolutely stacked cast, which includes Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Elliot Page and Anne Hathaway.
So, in short, you need to see it – and ideally on the biggest screen possible.

According to Vogue, filming also took place in Morocco, in Marrakech, Tahanaoute, El Haouz, Essaouira and Ouarzazate. The cast and crew were also spotted on the Sicilian island of Favignana, while they filmed in Iceland for the underworld scenes.
Continuing their whistlestop tour of Europe, the Odyssey team also filmed in Scotland, along the Moray Firth Coast and at Findlater Castle and Culbin Forest.
