Andy could return for Toy Story 5 with his new family being main part of the plot

Andy could be returning to our screens for Toy Story 5, a Disney journalist has claimed.
Even Buzz Lightyear, or at least the inspiration for the toy, even got his own standalone movie Lightyear in 2022.
The first Toy Story was all about the toy's relationship with their owner Andy.
However, in Toy Story 3, we saw the gang with a brand new owner, Bonnie, after Andy donates them before heading to college.
And viewers suspected this would be a natural ending to Andy's storyline within the films.
However, rumours about him possibly returning for the fifth film have started to stir online.
His family are also speculated to play an integral role in the film, however, what role that could be is yet to be confirmed.
Disney themselves have not yet officially spoken on the reports.
Not to mention the fact that Woody was also split up from Buzz and the gang at the end of the fourth movie to be a 'lost toy' with Bo Peep, so it is also unclear how the two could possibly be reunited in the fifth instalment of the franchise.
And fans have weighed in on the theory in the comments.
"I wanna watch it." one person said.
Another said that they didn't know 'how legit' the Andy theory was but if they 'were to guess' they think it's likely he'll be brought back for Toy Story 5.
Some fans on Twitter were pretty chuffed about the possibility of Andy returning, as one commenter said that the films 'aren't the same without Andy', adding that he was 'integral to the franchise'.
Another said they 'really want him to appear in Toy Story 5' .
A third said that 'this is exactly what I wanted from this film', while a fourth said: "Andy being a dad sounds pretty wholesome though."
"IM NOT CRYING, YOU ARE." someone else exclaimed.
And a final said that this theory 'had some potential'.
LADbible has reached out to Disney for comment.
