People are flocking to social media in praise of a 'scarring' movie.

Yes, in praise, because while it's baffling to some of us - you'll catch me watching any horror or thriller with the sound almost muted, peeking out from hands firmly planted over my eyes - some people love nothing more than watching a movie which scares them senseless.

And there's one particular film viewers are praising for just how gory, 'horrific' and shocking it is.

Prepare yourself for some new nightmares tonight:

At a first glance, S Craig's Zahler 2015 western/horror film Bone Tomahawk doesn't seem too daunting. After all, we've all seen Western movies so we know what to expect, right?

Well, like other viewers have, you'll get quite a bit of a shock if you pop on Bone Tomahawk expecting a movie similar to Brokeback Mountain.

The synopsis for the movie, according to IMDB, reads: "In the dying days of the old west, an elderly sheriff and his posse set out to rescue their town's doctor from cannibalistic cave dwellers."

And the cannibalistic cave dwellers aren't the only twist in store for you - if you dare settle down and put Bone Tomahawk on - but what did other viewers make of it?

Your face as you watch Bone Tomahawk.

Bone Tomahawk has an impressive 91 percent tomatometer score and solid 74 percent audience score. So you can see why thrill-seekers can't stop raving about it on social media.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user said: "I was able to see Bone Tomahawk (Frontera Caníbal) from 2015. Most of the movie is just another western, but the ending will leave your jaw on the floor. Very strong gore scenes.

"It's worth it. Excellent performance by Kurt Russell as Sheriff.

8/10."

On a thread asking for the 'most disturbing movie' someone's ever seen, another added: "Bone Tomahawk was so messed up I couldn’t finish that one, so maybe it’s actually Bone Tomahawk. Idk. No clue how I finished this movie lmao."

You've been warned.

A third commented: "Bone tomahawk wins all these horrific/scarring/shock polls. All. Night. Long."

"'Bone tomahawk' takes the craziest western for me it has one of the wildest scenes I’ve ever seen," a fourth added.

And a final resolved: "S Craig Zahler is one of the finest filmmakers to emerge in the last decade or so. Bone Tomahawk, Brawl in Cell Block 99 and Dragged Across Concrete - all first rate works. Someone needs to let him make another movie ASAP. It's a crime that it's been five years since his last film!"

If you think you're up to the challenge of watching the 'most disturbing movie,' you can watch Bone Tomahawk on Amazon Prime.
