Harry Potter star shares heartbreaking moment she was fat-shamed on set after putting on weight
Jessie Cave is best known in the Harry Potter franchise for playing Hogwarts student Lavender Brown.
Potterheads got to see the character, who becomes romantically involved with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), in three movies - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Part 2 (2011).
"It reminds me of such a beautiful period of time in my life," the 39-year-old previously told Bustle.
"When my family found out I got the job, it was like winning the lottery for us. Over 7,500 girls auditioned, and I got it. It was a massive win.

"Especially because I had younger siblings, I’m so glad I got to share that with them."
‘She whispered in my ear suck in, suck in’
After returning for the final film two stone heavier, however, Jessie revealed that a costume designer left her in tears.
“The costume designer came up to me, gripped the fat on my hips and said, ‘What is this?’ She gripped it so hard it left me in pain. I just had to say, ‘That's my body’,” she said on the RESET the Pod podcast with Alice Maria.
“She whispered in my ear, ‘Suck in, suck in’. I immediately started crying.
“The camera was behind me at first, but when it reached my face, you can see in the film that I've got tears in my eyes.”
The mum-of-four said she ‘would not wish that on my kids’, while addressing the new HBO Harry Potter reboot.
“I wouldn't want them to face that scrutiny. You're signing them up for a job where there can be a lot of cruelty—it hardens you,” Jessie said.
Transition to OnlyFans
The actor announced last year that she was launching an OnlyFans to 'help pay off her debts'.
While she’s not the first celebrity to make the move onto the subscription platform, her page is far from X-rated.
Jessie posts about 'hair stuff', making the 'best quality hair sounds' as well as 'very sensual stuff'.
She said the decision - which has earned her a pretty penny - got her 'cancelled' from the franchise.
"I found out that I didn’t get booked for a Harry Potter convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans," she wrote on Substack.
"They explained it was because it’s a 'family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn'.
"This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they’ve done sex scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!"
She added: "I am not upset about the prospect of no more Harry Potter conventions.
"There’s going to be a new cast now, and it’s a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia."
