Having been announced last September, The Simpsons Movie is finally returning for a sequel 20 years after the original.
And a first look was premiered at Disney’s D23 Entertainment Showcase on Friday (15 August).
However, while the excitement builds, fans are complaining that there’s a pretty major thing missing from one of the logo posters at the convention.
The film isn’t set to release in cinemas until 3 September 2027 so there’s every chance we'll be getting more logos before then (with a different one also shown during the showcase).

But you can’t help but look at this blank yellow wall with ‘The New Simpsons Movie in theatres September 3, 2027’ and notice that Homer’s staple snack isn’t included.
Yep, I’m saying the ‘o’ in ‘movie’ is just that, an ‘o’, not a bright pink, rainbow sprinkled doughnut. D’oh!
Reacting to viral snaps of the logo on X, one user simply slammed “Why the hell is the ‘O’ not a donut??”
“They had 1 god damn job,” another said.
While others came up with their own alternate ideas: “A donut with two bites would be fire.”
“Minimalism strikes again,” a disappointed fan wrote.
And one cynic suggested: “They wanted someone like you to correct them and bring in millions of views.”

However, other fans have pointed out that this was simply one of the giant boards at the convention, likely used as a board and maybe even a photo back drop.
So, let me ease your worries now – other posters and the absolutely giant screen at the Entertainment Showcase include the doughnut.
Yes, calm down LADs, when the sneak peak for the sequel was shown to fans, the ‘O’ in ‘MOVIE’ was a huge, classic Homer-loved doughnut.
With a revamped title of The New Simpsons Movie, attendees at Anaheim’s Honda Centre watched a baseball-themed clip.
The Nerdist was in attendance on Friday and recounted seeing Homer at a game, trying to catch a home run ball.
He ends up chasing it from the stadium all the way through Springfield, passing Moe’s Tavern, The Bowling Alley and into the Duff Beer Factory before he ends up back in the stadium and into Bart’s hands.
A classic Homer Simpson experience.
Of course, this doesn’t exactly tell us much about what the sequel’s plot will actually look like, but it’s something for fans to hold onto while we wait for the animation’s return to cinemas next year.
And when it does finally land in cinemas, it seems fans could be getting their hands on new merch.
During a panel at D23, the creative team joked about spending more time pitching buckets that plot ideas.
They reportedly promised that the popcorn bucket for The New Simpsons Movie will be more ‘vulgar’ than the infamous Dune popcorn bucket.
Elsewhere at D23, Matt Groening responded to Bart voice actor Nancy Cartwright’s suggestion that the show could end at 40 seasons.
The creator said: “There’s many things about the Simpsons on the internet that you cannot believe.
"I don’t think.. My guess is that was a tossed off remark made by Nancy, I don’t know.
"But no, we’re never going to end, come on!"
