Emilia Clarke 'broke a rib' whilst filming sex scenes with three men for new show
The injury occurred during the filming for her new Peacock series
Just like how we tell performers to 'break a leg' before taking to the stage, it seems we need to start urging actors to 'break a rib' before they shoot a sex scene.
As according to Emilia Clarke, filming intimate moments with fellow stars comes with the risk of causing some damage to the bones in your body.
The Game of Thrones legend, 39, revealed that she sustained an injury while filming a very raunchy scene for her latest role in the Peacock series, Ponies.
She stars alongside Split actress Haley Lu Richardson in the spy thriller, which premiered on Thursday (15 January).

The pair play two American secretaries, Bea and Twila, who are working at the US embassy in 1970s Moscow, due to the fact both of their husbands work for the CIA.
Their spouses then sadly die in a mysterious plane crash, prompting the women to embark on a search for answers, leading them to uncover 'a Cold War conspiracy behind the tragedy', according to the synopsis.
Bea and Twila then go undercover to get to the bottom of what happened to their partners - and go as far to seduce high-ranking KGB members to gain information.

At some point during Ponies, Clarke's character ends up having a sexual encounter with not one, not two, but three blokes.
It wasn't the actress' first rodeo, as she's appeared 'completely naked' on our screens and has feigned fornication more than a few times with her co-star Jason Momoa in various Game of Thrones episodes.
However, filming these intimate moments didn't leave her with a broken bone.
But while shooting Ponies, Clarke ended up injuring one of her ribs after she had to pretend to sexually entertain 'three men' over 'a number of hours'.
Recalling what happened on set, the London-born actress told The Wrap: "Just keep bringing it - I’m going to sit on this thing, you’re going to bring them in, we’re going to pretend to have sex. I broke a rib that day."
Her co-star Richardson confirmed that Clarke 'really did' sustain an injury, adding: "She’s such a tiny little sensitive body, [it] meant she broke a rib."
The 30-year-old went on to say that she was left in fits of giggles after Clarke and her on-screen lovers paraded past her after filming the rib-breaking scenes.
Richardson said while jokingly panting: "I was like ‘So how was it?’ They were like ‘Yeah!'"
Clarke revealed that she was bluntly honest with the doctor who checked her over, as after they asked how she had sustained the injury she responded: "Sex! Times three!"
The Ponies star then went on to say that her rib 'didn't fully break', as she explained: "It just popped out a little bit."
The series was released on Peacock earlier this week, but it has not yet been confirmed if or when the show will become available for viewers in the UK to watch.
