It's shaping up to be an exciting month for film buffs with Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for UK release on July 29.

The upcoming film will see teen superhero Peter Parker (Tom Holland) navigating a new life on his own, after a sacrificial spell made the world forget his true identity in 2021's No Way Home.

The latest trailer opens with Parker watching a video of ex-girlfriend Michelle Jones (Zendaya) and friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), who have no memory of him, highlighting his selfless act to save the universe.

Although the famous trio have reprised the respective roles in the new film, there has been some change behind the scenes, as Destin Daniel Cretton has taken over from Jon Watts as director.

The fourth instalment of the blockbuster series is the second-longest film to date at 148 minutes and tickets are now available to book online.

What is Spider-Man's Brand New Day about?

The latest film picks up four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home with Peter living alone following Doctor Strange's spell.

He continues to fight crime on the streets of New York, but nobody remembers his name - not even MJ or Ned.

But Peter's transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.

Who is Sadie Sink in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

The role of Sadie Sink has not been revealed.

The longest standing rumours suggest that the film would be the first to introduce mutants properly to the MCU and that she would be playing Jean Grey, with industry scooper Jeff Sneider having made the claim that she will be playing the iconic X-Men character.

However, nothing has been confirmed - just as director Destin Daniel Cretton intended.

"If people are gonna get mad, I can't control that!" Cretton told Rolling Stone. "I wish everything was a secret. Some people wanna know everything, and some people don't. There are certain people like me... if I know I'm gonna watch a movie, I try not to even watch the trailers."

"But you'll see when you watch the movie that there's a very real reason not to tell people who Sadie Sink is playing."

In response to the rumours, Sink took to Instagram to joke that she's not playing Spider-Man or Aunt May. We guess we'll have to wait and see.

Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day out in the UK?

Not yet.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will touch down in UK cinemas on July 29.

For those of you based in the US, you'll have to wait until July 31. You can book tickets via Cinepolis here.
