Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi’s PR campaign for Wuthering Heights has been raising question marks about the pair’s behaviour.
The pair have spoken about how they became ‘co-dependent’ on one another, even going as far as to say they had an ‘obsession’ with one another.
The upcoming film is directed by Emerald Fennell, who is best known for Promising Young Woman and more importantly, Saltburn.
If Saltburn is anything to go off though, it should come as no surprise that Wuthering Heights is set to be a tad racier than the original book by Emily Brontë.

Margot Robbie appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote the film, with Kimmel noting that there is ‘a lot of sex’ and asking whether there was much sex in the book.
She said: “They never even really kiss.”

Kimmel jokingly responded saying ‘you guys do’, regarding Robbie and Elordi in the film, with Robbie laughing and responding: “Yeah, we do, we kiss a lot, kiss everywhere. A lot of kissing.”
This is not the first time Robbie has opened up on the film’s racey sex scenes, which are a major departure from the slightly more reserved and tense book.
She said in a British Vogue cover story: “What reads to us as hot or exciting or sexy?
“And it’s not just a sex position or someone taking their shirt off.
“It was the little things that we loved as two women in our 30s, and this movie is primarily for people in our demographic.
“These epic romances and period pieces aren’t often made by women.
“In one of our first conversations about this film, I asked Emerald what her dream outcome was.
“She said, ‘I want this to be this generation’s Titanic' I went to the cinema to watch Romeo & Juliet eight times and I was on the ground crying when I wasn’t allowed to go back for a ninth.
I want it to be that.'”
Robbie also added: “Not to say there aren't sexual elements and that it's not provocative – it definitely is provocative – but it's more romantic than provocative. This is a big epic romance.”
Robbie and Elordi have mostly been making headlines, however, around their relationship, with the Australian actress explaining how the Oscar-nominated Frankenstein actor filled her dressing room with roses for Valentines Day.
The pair have spoken about their ‘mutual obsession’ with one another, with Elordi saying previously: “If you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you’re going to make sure you’re within five to 10 metres at all times.”
Wuthering Heights hits cinemas February 13, 2026.
