Friday Night Dinner centres on an eccentric family and, you guessed it, their Friday night dinners together.

Tamsin Greig, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal play the mum and sons respectively, while the dad was portrayed by Paul Ritter, who also sadly died last year.

Landis took on a wide variety of roles over the years, including barbershop owner and Holocaust survivor Felix Kawalski in Eastenders.

His acting career dates all the way back to 1955 when he starred in a TV adaptation of The Prince and the Pauper.

Landis was born on 25 November, 1931 in Stepney, London.
