This Is What Level 30 On Pokémon Go Looks Like

Someone has already reached Level 30 on Pokémon Go and it takes serious hard work...

Pokémon Go has been out for two weeks now, (one if you're in the UK) which means people are starting to work out all the ins and outs of the game.

I'll be honest, I didn't even know you had to catch the same Pokémon more than once in order to evolve them so, when I found that out yesterday, it was a natural game changer for me.

Now it's all been explained to me, I'm ready to go out and be the very best.

The only thing is, if you go on the Pokémon Go sub-reddit, it opens your eyes to just how far you've got to go to be the very best.

And that's because Redditor Verigood, a product manager at a software company in California, has reached Level 30. When you consider that you need more and more XP every time you level-up, that's fucking unreal.

Most people I know are anywhere between Level five and 15, depending on how quickly they grasped the concept of the game and how much time they've dedicated to it. But, on the whole, that seems like a realistic level to be at at this stage of the game.

So, Verigood, what's it like to get to Level 30? Well, he showed the world just to spur all us Pokémon trainers on...

Naturally, you're probably wondering what CP his Pokémon must be at. Well, he shared that, too...

And then something of an impromptu AMA began which Verigood took in his stride.

First we found out that to go from Level 30 to 31 you're going to need a full 500,000 XP. Then we discovered that Pokémon don't run away as easily at the higher levels but you can expect to use around for or five Poké balls per Pokémon after Level 25.

Verigood also confirmed Pokémon seem to have higher CP at the higher your levels, confirming he'd caught Eevees at CP 866, a Ponyta at CP 1122 and a Rhyhorn at CP 906.

Oh, and he hasn't completed his Pokédex, Verigood has 121 Pokémon.

So, even at Level 30, after all the time, effort and dedication, there is still no sign of the legendary Pokémon or a Master Ball. That suggests that once you get that far, there's still a long way to go.

If you're one of the Pokémon Go detractors, I've got some bad news for you. This game has a long way to go before it becomes Pokémon Gone.

Sorry.
