Steve-O called out for 'spineless response' to comedian fired from Jackass for choking out Wee Man

Jackass: Best and Last may have been a pretty emotional and heartfelt end to the franchise, but the movie has spawned some pretty feisty off camera beef between some of its stars.

Steve-O and Jason ‘Wee Man’ Acuña were called out by Rachel Wolfson, the first woman to star in a Jackass film when she became part of the new generation to join the crew in Jackass Forever.

Rachel accuses the pair of Jackass originals of ‘hating women’ in an explosive series of posts on X, sparked by Wee Man expressing his disappointment at the new cast not ‘stepping up’ in Best and Last.

Amongst her series of tweets however Rachel brought attention to an incident in which another female comedian, Natalie Palamides, was fired from the film Jackass Forever after getting into a scrap with Wee Man.

This led to Palamides posting footage of the incident, saying she’d been told ‘anything goes’ on the set of Jackass but later claiming in the comments that she was fired the next day.

Steve-O had actually been confronted about this incident last year and by the most surprising source possible: John C Reilly.

John C Reilly called out Steve-O and the Jackass crew and admitted he had ‘beef’ with Wee-Man over Natalie’s firing

The celebrity comedian explained in an appearance on Steve-O's Wild Ride that Natalie and him knew each other from clowning, stating that she was a ‘fearless’ clown and good friend.

He recounted how Natalie and Rachel had been sat around on the film, not joining in with a stunt in which the guys were kicked in the genitals (for pretty obvious reasons).

He said that Wee Man came over and started criticising them, making rude comments about how they were being paid to ‘sit around’.

Reilly claimed that Natalie had been told to ‘take no sh*t’ which she confirmed in her Instagram post of the footage and so decided to fire back at Acuña. Eventually this led to the pair wrestling and her taking him to the ground, eventually wrapping him up in a choke and leading him to ‘tap out’ to get her to stop.

The comedy legend said: “I think after all his shit-talking about girls earlier in the day, he was really emasculated and f*cked up in the head by like getting taken out by this girl.

“She was fired like by the next day… he was so embarrassed by [the incident].”

Steve-O’s response to this story however has not gone down well with fans.

Immediately after Reilly finishes the longtime Jackass star says: “I’m not sure that story is entirely accurate but man did I enjoy it.”

The comedy legend immediately presses him after this though, questioning if Steve-O was there, which he wasn’t, and asking if he is calling the actor a ‘liar’, saying: “Natalie is a good friend of mine, there’s no reason for her to lie to me.”

One of Steve-O’s co-hosts actually sides with Reilly, Vincent Imperati, who says that it must have been at a ‘test shoot’ for the film because he’s actually heard ‘something close to that’.

The Jackass star eventually says: “Candidly… I was just trying to create some plausible deniability so I could have my buddy’s back.”

Reilly finishes the segment by saying: “Good, well I’ve got my buddy Natalie’s back so f*ck you Wee Man, you got my friend fired you little b*tch.”

In the comments on YouTube Steve-O received some serious backlash for denying the story despite having no knowledge of it. One said: “LOL John was not buying Steve-O’s BS. John's a real one.”

The Instagram post from Natalie, sharing the footage which confirmed Reilly’s story, went viral on the Jackass Reddit, with one popular comment saying: “Steve-O’s spineless reaction to Reilly’s story reinforces my decision to stop listening to the podcast.”

Others however came to his defence, with one comment saying: “I have no time for Steve-O but I don’t think his response was bad. They’re probably one of the most lied about crews of all time.

“I’d be sceptical too.”
