The Jackass crew over the years have done some awful things to each other, but for the most part this has been to elicit laughs on camera.
Whether it be taking laxatives and playing twister in the latest film, which created a stunt labelled the ‘most disgusting thing ever filmed’, or the time Poopies was convinced to jump a literal shark and almost got eaten, the on-camera stunts see them do some incredibly gnarly things to each other.
There is a fine line between pranks and bullying however, and it’s a line that some feel that the Jackass crew crossed on occasions when it came to ‘Danger’ Ehren McGhehey.
Danger Ehren is a Jackass original, appearing in all three seasons of the TV show after Johnny Knoxville got them the gig with a video of him shooting himself in the chest with a gun (no, really).

Ehren was also a professional skateboarder, and has picked up some gruesome injuries from Jackass over the years – ranging from a broken orbital bone to breaking his neck twice on Jackass 3D.

Ahead of the new film, Jackass: Best and Last, one fan tweeted: “haven’t seen the new jackass have they cut Ehren some slack yet cause i start feelin bad lmao”, with one fan answering saying they hadn’t, with the new film featuring a bit in which he is repeatedly given electric shocks.
This led to a big discussion on X about the idea that the crew supposedly ‘bullied’ Ehren, something he himself has spoken about with Steve-O.
In an appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride, with Steve saying that despite the series being centered around all their comradery and friendship Ehren was always treated as a ‘whipping boy’.
When he described it as ‘bullying’ Ehren agreed, saying: “Very much so, and it’s hard for me… I’m in a sense being outcasted and bullied and it's all in good fun, so everyone says. But the reality is no matter what eventually you just get tired of the same repetitive jokes that are being put towards you.

“It's different because it's my job I’m not like this in person like if you f*ck with me like, I’m sorry, I’m not gonna just take it like I do with while we're filming stuff.”
Ehren pointed out that ‘that type of person was needed’ for filming, and stated that the group dynamic meant that no-one wanted to be the focus so would always find someone else to dish it out to.
Steve-O said that in the podcast he is ‘standing up for Ehren’ because he’s ‘a great guy and doesn’t deserve that f*cking sh*t’.
Ehren stated that, for the most-part, the fact that he has a ‘great life’ helps him deal with the treatment from the crew, but did state: “It does effect me, and eventually I get over it and I'm just like fine then you guys talk sh*t to yourselves and I’m going to go back to my life, go back to one of my nine houses.”

The stuntman continued, adding: “It’s different because honestly I am 100 percent sure that we all love each other I feel like we're family and you have a brother or sister and you love that person and you still pick on that person.
“It doesn't excuse it but usually what happens when you get older in life like in your 40s and 50s is you're like mature enough to then say I’m sorry I didn’t mean to pick on you. But we aren’t mature, we’re Jackass, we’re not supposed to grow up.”
Jackass Best and Last is available to watch in cinemas now.
