James Buckley has savage response to DJ who paid him to promote their song

Despite being paid to promote the track, James Buckley's comments were more in keeping with his Inbetweeners alter-ego.

He might be known for his numerous - and pretty outrageous - one-liners in The Inbetweeners, but James Buckley had a few choice words about a certain DJ.

A video has emerged of the actor savagely taking down a DJ, with the short clip later being uploaded to Tik Tok.

Despite being paid to promote the musician, Buckley resorted to four-letter words as he spoke about the new track.

Buckley had originally been hired on Cameo, a website which offers personalised videos and messages from celebrities for a fee.

For those not in the know, there are a vast number of celebs for hire from Harry Potter star Tom Felton to saxophone player, Kenny G (yes, really).

Among them was the Inbetweeners actor, who’d been hired for $50 to promote upcoming musician Luke Mahony and his latest track, 'Something I can’t live without’.

While the DJ may have put his heart and soul into the techno track, it seems as if Buckley wasn't quite as, um, enthusiastic.

In fact, you can even see this in the short video with the actor speaking monosyllabically for most of the 21-second clip.

Hilariously, you can also see Mahony shaking his head as the video begins, with the caption: “Paid Jay from the inbetweeners $50 for pomo. Never again.”

This is where Buckley takes over telling fans: “…just to let you all know that his new song, Something I can’t live without, is on Spotify and all those other sort of streaming services so go and check it out…why not.”

Looks like Luke Mahony won't be hiring Buckley for promotion again any time soon.

However, the 35 year old can’t resist ripping into the musician and cracking a wry smile before continuing.

“I haven’t, it sounds s**t,” he savagely responded, adding, “Something I can’t live without? I can tell you something, I can f**king live without!” (ouch!)

Whilst we can all agree it’s a bit harsh to criticise a song you’ve never even heard before, it’s unclear whether Buckley’s savage comment was a bit or a real reaction.

Either way, the video has been going viral on TikTok and gained over 434,900 likes since the video was uploaded to the platform.

His comments were more in keeping with his Inbetweeners alter-ego.

Fans have also been roasting Mahony with their own savage responses as they react to the clip.

Referring to Buckley’s on-screen alter ego, one fan wrote: “Mate what else do you expect from Jay cartwright”

Others agreed, with another adding: "Got your moneys worth...what were you expecting”

One comment even suggested that the creator was ‘lucky’ considering how little he’d spent on the celeb promo.

We can’t help but wonder how the other Inbetweener lads would have reacted….
