Keanu Reeves has linked up with two other Hollywood superstars to take part in his first major television role in Devil in the City.

Reeves will star in the series - produced by Martin Scorsese – which is based on Erik Larson's non-fiction novel which tells the stories of Daniel Burnham, who was the architect of the 1893 World’s Fair and the serial killer H.H. Holmes.

The 57-year-old’s career appears to be heading in an upward trajectory once again following the success of the first John Wick movie.

A trailer for John Wick 4 has already surfaced, and Reeves is very excited about the latest movie to be released in the franchise.

He said: "I read the script. It's really, really cool. As much as it's the same world as the other three films, it's just deeper.

"It's much deeper in terms of the code of the assassin and the relationship that he has with one character in particular who I think Mr. Watanabe is playing... is really the heart and soul of it."

However, we will have to wait a while to see it, with the movie not due to be released until 24 March next year.

But fans can be kept satisfied in the meantime, as a spin-off to the John Wick series starring Ana De Armas is released.

It is called Ballerina, and portrays a young assassin seeking revenge on those who killed her family.

As for Devil in the City, the series has been in the pipeline for a while, with DiCaprio purchasing the rights to the novel a decade ago with the original desire to turn it into a film.

Following nine years without any movement in its production, it now appears to be full steam ahead with the series developed under Hulu’s watch after failing to reach an agreement with Paramount Pictures.

But even though the plans have accelerated, there is still no set start date for the series. DiCaprio was due to play Holmes when the project was being made into a film, but an actor had yet to be cast in the role of Burnham.

It remains up in the air regarding who will play Holmes, and further confirmation will surely follow in due course.
