Knives Out 2: Release Date UK, Cast and Trailer

Knives Out 2: Release Date UK, Cast and Trailer

Following the successful release of Knives Out in 2019, after three years the sequel is finally coming to a small screen near you.

Knives Out 2 is set to return to our screens following its prequel debut in 2019. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Knives Out 2 follows a master detective grappling with a recent murder case. After receiving critical acclaim in 2019, Netflix successfully purchased the right to two sequels for a reported $450 million.

The filming took place in Stepses, Greece and was conducted by several cinematographers from the original Knives Out camera crew. So rest assured, we can expect to see the same dramatic and edgy camera angles that characterised the first film.

What to expect from the trailer?

Staccato in style and classically sartorial, the trailer for Knives Out 2 is sophisticated and oozing with Agatha-Christie style glamour. Yet, the trailer doesn’t give much away regarding the plot line. Perhaps this element of mystery is rather apt for a film of its genre.

When is it being released?

Knives Out 2 will anticipate screening in Autumn 2022. The exact dates are to be confirmed.

Who is in the cast?

The cast is suitably star-studded with a string of A-list celebrities to help bolster the film’s branding. Director Rian Johnson has managed to retain big names from the original cast.

Eponymous with James Bond, Daniel Craig has reprised his role as the enigmatic but charming master detective Benoit Blanc.

Ethan Hawke is the likely favourite to play the eccentric sidekick to Detective Blanc. Hawke has previously played Travis Conrad in 24 Hours to Live and is better known for his starring role as Troy Dyer in Reality Bites.

While Chris Evans and Ana de Armas will not be returning, other big names set to join the sequel include Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick and Edward Norton amongst others.

Judging by the mysterious trailer and star-studded cast, Knives Out 2 is a blockbuster you won’t want to miss.
