Britney Spears married fiancé Sam Asghari in a lavish ceremony last week, but not before getting a few key details down on paper.

The newlyweds signed both a marriage contract and a prenuptial agreement in order to protect the singer's earnings if they break up.

PEOPLE confirmed that Asghari, 28, will not receive any of Spears' earnings that she received prior to their June 9 wedding date in the event of a divorce or separation.

Shortly after the couple announced their engagement in September, Asghari took to social media to crack a joke about needing a prenup for his belongings, which pale in comparison to his now-wife’s earnings.

"Thank you everyone who is concerned about the prenup," he said in a September post, as per PEOPLE.

"Of course we're getting an iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase she dumps me one day."

But the big day wasn't without a touch of drama, with Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander was arrested after trying to crash the couple's big day.

He live streamed the whole thing, and even filmed the moment he was met with security and tried to explain that his former lover had invited him.

Security physically reprimanded him as his phone froze; however, he continued to live stream from Spears' house.

Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, told TMZ that she was safe and well despite Alexander's intrusion.

He said: "I am personally working with the sheriff's department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Britney and Jason got married in January 2004 in Vegas but decided to call it quits just 55 hours later.

But, despite Alexander's failed attempt at a ruckus, Spears and Asghari tied the knot on Thursday (June 9) at the singer's Los Angeles home.

TMZ reported that there were around 100 people in attendance, including Donatella Versace, Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton, and Selena Gomez.

Noticeably missing from the guest list was Spears' mother, father, and sister, Jamie Lynn.

The singer fell out with her family after she was released from her conservatorship by a judge in November last year.

The ruling removed her parents from being able to make legally binding decisions, which they were able to do for more than a decade.

After being released from the conservatorship, Spears released an online statement expressing her gratitude for her newly-won freedom.

"I'm just grateful honestly for each day and being able to have the keys to my car and being able to be independent and feel like a woman," the pop star said.

"Owning an ATM card, seeing cash for the first time, being able to buy candles. It's the little things for us women, but it makes a huge difference."
