Netflix Confirms Dead To Me's Third And Final Season Will Premiere This Autumn

Netflix's Dead To Me will be returning for its third and final season in autumn.

Variety reports the final episodes of the dark-comedy series, starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, will drop sometime in the second half of the year.

Sadly, no official date has been confirmed just yet.

The show’s creator, comedian and writer Liz Feldman, said that the project had fulfilled her creatively while helping her ‘heal’ along the way.

She said: “From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make. And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human.

“I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina [Applegate] and Linda [Cardellini], and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew.

"I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”

The Netflix show follows sarcastic widow Jen (played by Applegate), who is determined to solve the murder of her husband's hit and run.

Applegate's character befriends Judy (Cardellini), an optimist free-spirit who is also recovering from a tragic loss.

Since the show aired on the popular streaming service in 2019, Dead To Me has received commercial and critical praise while earning a few Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Netflix has also greenlit another one of Feldman’s projects, titled No Good Deed.

The series will follow three very different families ‘vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems', according to Netflix.

However, as the show progresses, the aspiring homeowners realise that ‘sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare’.

According to Feldman, she first conceived the idea for the series 'during the early pandemic maniacally searching Zillow listings for a way out of my house'.

The creator will also serve as executive producer alongside Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Brittney Segal, Christie Smith, and Silver Tree.

Silver Tree will also direct the No Good Deed pilot and additional episodes of the first season.

And if it’s anything like Dead To Me, we can’t wait!
