Magician and illusionist David Blaine has pulled off a bizarre stunt on the Joe Rogan podcast.
David Blaine has been wowing audiences around the world for decades with his impressive tricks but this one is truly outrageous.
During his more than two-hour chat on The Joe Rogan Experience, he touched on loads of topics and told some epic stories about his career and life. He also managed to drink a hell of a lot of water, which was in preparation for a stunt that involved swallowing a live frog.
Blaine downed several bottles of water so that the frog would have a decent amount of liquid to survive inside his stomach before he regurgitated it.
Many of us have, at one point or another, done a tactical spew while drunk. While our trick results in a messy affair, Blaine managed to do it all while keeping a straight face and without sticking his fingers down his throat.
He grabbed the frog in his hands and stuck it in his mouth and swallowed it whole.
The magician explained how he's done this trick with up to 10 frogs in the past, but for the purposes of the podcast, he'd do it this time with just one.
After keeping the frog in his stomach for a little over five minutes, David tried to bring it back up.
To be honest, it's a pretty gross watch if you're even the slightest bit squeamish because you get to watch a grown man stare into the ceiling while he burps, spits and brings up water.
But, after several attempts and a lot of uncomfortable watching, David's mouth swells and he asks Joe to stick out his hands and, lo and behold, he managed to bring the frog back up.
"So, that's the frog trick," David said to Joe, seeming pretty chuffed with himself.
That wasn't the only trick that was performed during the more than two hour discussion. David also got Joe to drive an ice pick into his bicep to prove his mind over matter method.
The long, sharp object was driven into Mr Blaine's arm, however they had to pause and re-do it at one point after Joe accidentally struck a nerve. Literally. Once they reset, the ice pick was pushed all the way from one side to the other.
David claimed it was magic, but Joe didn't seem too convinced of it and they moved on.
On the whole they discussed swimming with whales, other notable magicians, David's upcoming balloon stunt, breath holding, blacking out and knock outs and everything related to his career. It's definitely worth a watch.
