Lil Nas X pauses his show to 'take a mean s**t'

The rapper emphasised to the crowd that it was 'not part of the show'

Lil Nas X took a pause from performing during a gig in the US to 'take a mean s**t'. He even takes the time to let his fans know:

The rapper was playing at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday (September 27) as part of his 'Long Live Montero' tour when the call of nature interrupted proceedings.

Speaking over the venue's speakers, the 23-year-old said: "I'm backstage, and this is, like, not a part of the show, but I'm taking a mean s**t, so please forgive me.

"But I'm gonna be like a minute or two, and I'll be right back."

Well, at least it wasn't part of the show.

Lil Nas X - real name Montero Lamar Hill - subsequently confirmed online that he absolutely was not bluffing about the crapping.

On Twitter, he wrote: "lmao people really thought i was joking, i was literally back there dropping demons into that toilet."

Suppose when you've gotta go you've gotta go. Plus, it was a hometown gig for him, so he could be forgiven for feeling perhaps a little more comfortable than usual.

Last year, he was left speechless after he was given his own day by the Atlanta City Council.

"The Atlanta City Council is pleased to recognise Lil Nas X for his success in the world of music, entertainment and popular culture," said the official city council declaration of the day.

His success with the release of 'Old Town Road', his huge TikTok following and his 'considerable impact on the LGBTQ community' were cited in the document.

It concluded: "Now, therefore, I, Antonio Brown, a member of the Atlanta City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Atlanta, do hereby proclaim this 20th day of October 2021 Lil Nas X Day in the city of Atlanta in recognition of his tremendous success and ability to break barriers in music and popular culture.

"His artistic influence and transformative music continue to shape Atlanta and the World."

Lil Nas X appeared choked up as he said a few words about the recognition.

"I think I'm gonna cry," he said.

"But seriously, this is amazing. I did not imagine I would be here four years ago when I was like at my sister's house like on the floor.

"I mean life just keeps getting better, I'm getting scared."
