Millie Bobby Brown hits back at claims husband Jake Bongiovi doesn't help her
Millie Bobby Brown has hit out at claims that her husband Jake Bongiovi doesn’t help her when it comes to carrying their baby or her bags.
Bongiovi has faced criticism in recent months, after several photos and videos showed Brown carrying a carseat with their little girl in it as well as bags and other items, while he strolled beside her empty handed.
However, now Brown, who wed Bongiovi in 2024 and adopted their little girl last August, has hit back at the comments, explaining that she’s more than ‘capable’ of carrying her own bags.
During an appearance on the Not Gonna Lie podcast, she said: "Hi, I’m Millie Bobby Brown, and I’m not gonna lie, when did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?

“This stems from me holding all of my suitcases and bags and my kid and people are like, 'Your husband doesn't hold a single thing.' Because I'm three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night.
"We’re all about empowering girls and, 'You got it' and 'You don’t need a man.' But then when I’m like, 'OK, I can carry my own things,' people are like, 'Where’s your husband?'"
The Stranger Things star said her ‘sweet’ husband would ‘do anything’ for her, but also understands that she is ‘capable’ and can manage on her own.
She also responded to fans who questioned her choice to become a mum at such a young age.
"For everybody who was like, 'Oh my God, a 21-year-old mom. Oh my gosh, how could she?' I’m having the most amazing time,” she continued.
“My husband and I say this all the time; it’s like going from black and white to colour.”
The new podcast was released just hours after her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour responded to claims about a rift between the pair.
“It’s simple. It was just a simple rupture-and-repair thing that, once we cleared everybody out of the way and talked to each other, we’re fine,” Harbour told Variety.
Harbour also teased that fans should expect to ‘see more’ of him and Brown working together in the future.
“Ten years wasn’t enough,” he said.
“There is a special bond there. I love her. She loves me.”
