Kanye West has announced he will be focusing on his music, following a bizarre rant on Twitter.

The rapper fired off a series of tweets, which ranged from screenshots of Google searches of Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry, to claims his wife and mother-in-law tried to get a doctor to look into his health.

However, he finished the posts with: "Ima focus on the music now."

That could mean his widely publicised bid to become US President is over.

The 43-year-old says he's set to release his 10th studio album DONDA this Friday, which is named after his mother.

Kanye has released a track list, showing the album will have 12 songs and will run for 39 minutes.

The rapper has already released one of the songs from the upcoming album, 'Wash Us In The Blood' (which now appears to be missing) and teased the title track 'DONDA'.

This announcement capped off a long rant on Twitter about a bunch of things that were seemingly connected to the fallout from his first US Presidential rally, which was held on Sunday.

Kanye revealed at the event in South Carolina that he and his wife Kim Kardashian considered aborting their first born child, North, and claimed he too was nearly aborted by his father. He broke down in tears and made some eyebrow raising comments about abolitionist Harriet Tubman.

It seems as though the string of events has caused a rift within the 43-year-old's family.

He wrote on Twitter: "Kriss don't play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children Ya'll tried to lock me up."

Another Tweet said: "Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday."

A third was: "Everybody knows the movie get out is about me."

Kanye opened up in 2016 about his struggles with being bipolar, however he has repeatedly said that he considers the condition to be more like a 'superpower'.

No one from the Kardashian clan has spoken publicly since Kanye held his rally on Sunday. Sources close to the family have reported Kim feeling aggrieved that West chose to share their conversations about their daughter North.
