Hot off the back of his first ever Christmas album, Robbie Williams is giving people in Australia a taste of his music.

The singing superstar has announced he will be doing a one-off show in Melbourne in March that ties in with the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020.

As part of his World Tour, Robbie will perform at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park on March 1, but sadly, that's the only Aussie date (for now) on his tour.

"I am looking forward to getting down to Australia, it's a place that is in my heart. I feel like an Aussie when I am there, and if there's an opportunity to get down there, I grab it with both hands," Williams said.

His tour operators said the performance will contribute to the bushfire appeal, however details of that haven't been released just yet. Robbie says it's been heartbreaking to see all the stories emerge on the news.

"This is beyond a tragedy, it's unfathomable what has happened, and what is happening, in Australia," Williams said.

"You see photographs of what's actually happening, it can't sink in, you can't understand that, it's beyond any reality that we've experienced before. I think it would be trite of me to send my love or condolences, I think it needs more."

Tickets will go on sale on January 20 through Ticketek.
