People have noticed confusing detail over 'Coldplay couple' after CEO resigns and statement released

The video of 'Coldplay couple' Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot has gone viral on social media

Some people have noticed a confusing detail after the CEO 'caught' with a woman at a recent Coldplay gig resigns from his role.

The video everyone is talking about took place at Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres concert at Gillette Stadium near Boston earlier this week.

During the band's kiss-cam segment, Astronomer's former CEO Andy Byron was seen with his arms wrapped around Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer.

As soon as the pair realised they were being filmed, the married tech mogul from New York unexpectedly ducked his head, while his colleague covered her face.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin then joked: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”

As far as we know, Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and Cabot is reportedly divorced.

Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron resigns

A few days after the video went viral, Astronomer announced in a statement last night (19 July) that Byron has resigned from the company.

"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," a statement read.

"The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."

Over on X, some viewers have questioned why Cabot hasn't resigned too.

One person wondered 'why does Kristen Cabot keep her job?' and thought that 'she should step down as well.'

"It’s not just the ceo that needs to step down. You need to take action on your head of HR," another tweeted.

"Actually, I have to agree with this. She was in charge of human resources," someone else said.

LADbible Group has contacted Astronomer for comment.

Woman who filmed 'Coldplay couple' reveals why she shared it

Grace Springer, from New Jersey, is responsible for posting the now-viral video on her TikTok page.

Having racked up millions of views, Grace told LADbible that she probably wouldn't have shared the video if they had 'acted normal.'

"I had no clue who the couple was, I thought it was an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and my friends were actually the ones who pushed me to post it after the concert. I never would have expected this," she admitted.

"I thought it was more innocent, but the group I was with said 'no something weird is going on', because it was kind of the talk of the concert.

"Everybody was talking about it. I was like, I don't know, I think they were just shy.

"Then I realised I had the video and I looked back on it and when I saw his face I thought this seems suspicious."
