Fans aren’t convinced by Bradley Walsh's new one-off quiz show.
Upcoming special Million Pound Shot sees three ‘plucky contestants’ step up for the chance to win a life-changing sum of up to £1 million.
Channel 4 bills the game, filmed in front of a live audience, as the ultimate test of ‘nerve and instinct’, asking its participants: "How much can you trust your gut when it really counts?"
There’s meant to be a ‘huge secret twist’ during the show, as the gameplay is set to mix general knowledge and brain teasers with the ‘old-fashioned luck of the draw’.

However, suspicions have been raised on social media as viewers are wondering why Million Pound Shot is airing at 9pm on Sunday.
After the trailer aired on Channel 4, one fan shared on Reddit why they think something ‘sneaky is going on here’.

“Everything about it feels like it isn't a real TV show, and is actually going to be some sort of surprise/twist in the manner of a Derren Brown stunt or that bizarre Greg Wallace meat 'documentary', or the fake quiz show edition of Inside Number 9,” they wrote.
“The fact it's Bradley Walsh on Channel 4 when he's the ultimate ITV man, the completely vague and generic title, the 'huge secret twist', and the fact it's a one-off 'event' airing on a Sunday night all make me think there's something else going on and it's not going to be.”
Many were agreement in the comments, with one person replying: “Also, the fact that the trailer is just Bradley in the studio talking to the camera is another thing that makes me think it is some kind of stunt.
“There's no footage from the show, no discussion of how it works, no shots of contestants. It's being kept incredibly under wraps.”
'A psychological experiment in the tradition of Derren Brown'
Chuck Thomas, host of The TV Podcast, has penned three separate theories on X.

“Is Bradley Walsh's new Channel 4 quiz show actually a massive television hoax? Something very strange is happening at Channel 4," he wrote.
“Channel 4 is promising extraordinary drama, tension and life-changing outcomes, with a huge secret viewers won't see coming.
“And now the television detectives are getting suspicious.”
Calling KEO Films ‘no ordinary production company’, they added that ‘it’s famous for fascinating documentaries and extraordinary stunts’.
“Theory one: A psychological experiment in the tradition of Derren Brown,” they continued.
“Theory two: An innocent quiz that takes a horrifying turn, in the spirit of Inside No. 9.
“Theory three: A modern day Ghostwatch, turning Sunday night viewing into a national nervous breakdown.”
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Walsh’s Million Pound Shot airs Sunday 1 November at 9pm on Channel 4.
