People point out 'Coldplay Couple's' mistake when they were 'caught' on camera

One user claimed the alleged pair 'made it a big deal and now everyone else has too'

The internet is claiming the CEO allegedly caught on camera with ‘another woman’ at a Coldplay concert absolutely played himself after the pair made a ‘big deal’ out of the now-viral moment.

On Wednesday (July 16), Coldplay brought their Music of the Spheres World Tour to Foxboro's Gillette Stadium in Boston, US.

If you haven’t yet heard what happened at the gig, then we’re going to break it down for you real fast.

At some point during the show, frontman Chris Martin, 48, was speaking to the crowd between songs while a concert camera roved across the crowd and showed random members up on the big screen to interact with the beloved singer.

Eventually, it landed on a man and a woman who were smiling, embracing and ultimately seemed to be enjoying the evening event.

What was supposed to be a spur-of-the-moment interaction quickly descended into a disaster when the two people seemed to realise they’d been ‘caught’.

Immediately, the pair moved away from each other, with the woman spinning around to hide her face while the man ducked down to hide his profile, as seen in a viral social media video.

It appeared as if Martin initially tried to make light of the situation, saying: “Come on, you're OK!"

He then cheekily alleged: “Uh oh. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.”

As you may know, the internet works in mysterious ways.

Internet sleuths were quick off the mark and within hours, the man and woman in the video were allegedly identified as the CEO of tech company Astronomer, Andy Byron, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer.

While nither Byron, who is married, nor Cabot, who is believed to be divorced, are yet to publicly comment on the viral moment, a fake statement from the Astronomer CEO is currently being shared online.

“This is not a real statement,” Astronomer’s Taylor Jones swiftly told Men’s Journal.

Remember not to believe everything you read on the internet, kids!

In light of the allegations, X users have been having a field day, with some claiming the pair, dubbed online as the ‘Coldplay couple’, made a grave error when they were ‘caught’.

“Man ALL YOU HAD TO DO was no-sell it,” one user typed. “If you hadn't gone down like you'd been shot, nobody would've ever known. What, you think your spouses are sat at home watching Coldplay jumbotron footage??? You've absolutely played yourselves.”

This statement has caused some major debate, with another user questioning: “Is it true that if he hadn't cracked, people wouldn't have known? I think it was inevitable once they were caught on camera.”

“He was about to play it cool. She freaked out then what was he supposed to do,” remarked someone else.

A fourth argued: “They made it a big deal and now everyone else has too.”

“It's the guilty conscience that always catches up to you, because there's no way this clip makes any rounds if they act normal,” penned a fifth critic.

LADbible has contacted Astronomer for comment.
