Katy Perry had 45-page rider list leaked that came with one 'absolute no'

It shouldn't be a surprise that A-list stars expect to travel in style

Have you ever wondered what the life of an international pop star on tour looks like?

Is it really all first class plane tickets, supersized tour buses and extravagant dressing rooms — or is the life of a touring musician much less exciting?

Well, if your name's Katy Perry it's more likely to be the former, as the 40-year-old has gone viral numerous times over the years for her seemingly excessive rider requests.

There's an eternal fascination with celebrity riders, from Tom Hardy's jiu jitsu mats to Madonna allegedly requesting a new toilet seat at every venue she visits, as it seems that we just can't get enough of learning about how the other half live.

So, what could you find on the 'Teenage Dream' singer's list of demands?

Apparently a lot of things.

According to an article from MailOnline, the singer famously had a 45-page long rider during her 2011 California Dreams tour, which included a dressing room decked out in 'pink and cream' items, 'properly sanitised' fruits and vegetables as well as a presidential suite for overnight stays.

The requests didn't stop there either, as Perry requested her dressing room be filled with an abundance of flowers, although these bouquets must under no circumstances contain any carnations. She also likes to find two bottles of Pinot Grigio in a glass doored fridge backstage.

Perry also had a page-long list of requests for her driver, which included the following:

  • The chauffeur is only allowed to speak when spoken to and must not attempt to engage Perry in conversation
  • The driver must not stare at the singer through the rear view mirror
  • Similarly, they must avoid conversing with any of Perry's guests or fans
  • Drivers are also not allowed to ask the singer for autographs or pictures, 'especially not while driving'

The document also alleges that Perry's team require venues to hold back tickets so that they can be provided to 'resellers' for 'distribution to the public'.

This isn't the only time which Perry's concert requests would make headlines either, with the singer revealing in 2018 that she likes to find heath drinks and 'apple cider vinegar' in her dressing room.

"You’d think it would be too acidic for your voice, but it’s a great body balancer," she told the Herald Sun.

And when it came to preparing for King Charles' Coronation extravaganza she apparently needed fresh flowers, luxury sofas and '10 Mercedes people carriers' to carry around all of her staff.

LADbible has reached out to Perry's reps for comment.
