It's been a whopping 16 years since Lady Gaga released her smash hit Poker Face, even though it still feels like it was only yesterday that the track was filling the dance floor.
As well as giving us all a catchy hook to sing when nobody calls our bluff in the casino, the songstress also sneaked a few sneaky messages in the track too.
It was the first of Gaga's five UK number ones, so it's safe to say us Brits had many a boogies to it.

But in the days where we were all mimicking her monstrous dance moves and prodding our fingers to 'Poker Face' in the club, not many of us actually stopped and listened to the words we were belting out at the top of our lungs.
For starts, did you know that the song actually has nothing to do with gambling and keeping a straight face while betting, despite the repeated references to it?
Gaga - real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - revealed the secret behind the popular song while on stage at the Dolby Live theatre in Las Vegas back in September last year.

She told the crowd of her 'Little Monsters': "Bet you didn’t know that this song was about sleeping with men and thinking about women the whole time.
"Now that’s a good poker face," the House of Gucci star giggled.
She then performed the real lyrics - which most listeners still haven't picked up on - to the US audience, which were a lot less PG friendly than the radio version.

So, what exactly are the explicit lines which Gaga had hidden in plain sight then?
Well, music fans were left mortified when they clocked onto the fact the singer actually switches to an X-rated alternative during the chorus - that luckily, sounds a lot like 'poker face'.
The actual lyrics to the song are: "Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah), Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah)."
I guess the bisexual theme behind the track kind of makes a lot more sense now.

Still, it didn't cushion the blow for social media users who only found out they had been singing the words wrong all these years later - as just imagine the school discos some people showed themselves up at.
One X user said: "I was today years old when I found out Poker Face's lyrics turn into 'f***k her face'."
Another added: "So, you’re telling me the lyrics to Lady Gaga - Poker Face are 'P-p-p-poker face, f-f-f*** her face?!' "WHAT?!"

A third wrote: "Why does Spotify lyrics say this?! I always thought it was po-po-po-poker face, po-po-poker face."
A fourth added: "Just realised that in the poker face lyrics it says 'po-po-po-poker face fu-fu-f*** her face'. Kinda wild."
While a fifth chimed in: "Probably the biggest win I have as a Little Monster was actually learning that the lyrics come off as 'P-P-p-poker face, f-f-f**k her face' years after its release."
Gaga actually let us in on this gag a long time ago during an interview, but people just didn't pick up on it.
When she was playing at iHeartRadio Wango Tango - an annual concert held by the US radio station KIIS FM - she revealed they had been the only radio station who had correctly censored her song.
The singer said at the time: "KIIS FM is the smartest radio station in the whole world and I'll tell you why.
"Because this song, it got played all over the world on tens of thousands of radio stations, but KIIS FM was the only one that said I had to censor my lyric because they thought I might be saying something bad."
