An Oasis superfan has sold her ticket to the highly sought-after reunion shows.

The news comes after Liam Gallagher used a racial slur in an offensive social media post.

After last year’s shock announcement from the brothers, the tour finally kicks off tonight (4 July) in Cardiff, with the set-list now leaked.

It’s been a real mission for some Oasis fans trying to get tickets, as many are still hoping to nab a last-minute one.

But Yue Xiong was left ‘completely heartbroken’ as she ended up deciding to sell her ticket for the opening night of Live ’25 in Cardiff.

Liam came under fire over the now-deleted X post as fans called him out for using a racial slur and he later ended up apologising.

One fan told him: “Liam, you can’t say that,” after he used an offensive term that is used to mock East Asian people.

“Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn’t intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. peace and love LG x,” the singer wrote in an apology post.

Yue, who is originally from Shanghai but now lives in London, has been a mega fan of the ‘Slide Away’ band since she was 16-years-old, crediting their music for ‘saving [her] life’.

But she felt Liam’s remark was ‘completely not acceptable’ and made the decision to sell her ticket. Yesterday, the 23-year-old decided to still travel to Cardiff for the day to protest.

"I've been I've been a huge fan since 2017," she told WalesOnline. "All of my adolescence I was just listening to Oasis – it got me through life and the music really saved my life.

"But I kind of stopped being a fan two days ago because what Liam said is completely not acceptable. As an Asian and as a Chinese person I could not deal with it just by keeping silent and accepting what he was saying."

Yue said she ‘just can’t participate in that anymore’.

“Otherwise it will be disrespectful for my own community where I come from,” the student added.

While she is sad about getting rid of her ticket, she said she’d be ‘completely heartbroken’ if she attended the concert.

"I felt people would need to speak up about it,” she said about their being a lack of response to Liam using the slur. "So if no-one talks about it, it just adds more pressure to everything. But I felt the need to say something.

"It is not okay for someone to say something extremely racial, targeting an Asian community, on a social platform."

Having spoken with others in the ‘Chinese Community fan groups’, Yue says they are: “Completely shattered, they’re completely heartbroken.”

Liam's reps declined LADbible's request for comment.
