Ticketmaster issues update as millions of Oasis fans try to get reunion tour tickets this morning

They've told people to stay in the queue

Ticketmaster have issued an update after a rather chaotic morning of people trying to buy tickets for the Oasis reunion tour.

The ones for the gigs in Ireland went on sale at 8am, while the floodgates for their UK tour dates started at 9am.

As you can imagine, quite a lot of people say they've been having problems with the Ticketmaster site.

Error 503 has been trending on Twitter and the poor, unfortunate souls doing customer support for Ticketmaster today have been inundated with a plethora of problems.

People have accused the Ticketmaster website of crashing, though Ticketmaster says this isn't the case, and there have been loads of people also complaining that they've been 'suspended' while trying to buy tickets.

The words 'crashed', 'shambles' and 'gutted' have been trending on social media this morning thanks to Oasis fans, and Ticketmaster has given an update on the situation.

A spokesperson for Ticketmaster told LADbible: "The queue is moving along as fans buy tickets.

"As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue.

"Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they're only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren't using any VPN software on their device."

Naturally, there are plenty of people on social media telling Ticketmaster's customer support they've done exactly that and it's still not helping, so there's quite a kerfuffle going on.

Earlier this morning people were put in a queue just to get onto the site, never mind waiting for tickets. (Ticketmaster)

At present, your humble writer is occupying position 115,464 in a queue for tickets and is reckoning that he's probably not going to get them.

However, a recent update made at 10:56am says: "Tickets are available for all dates, so please continue to hold your place in the queue."

If you're in the queue then stay in it, and don't be refreshing to try and jump ahead as that's more likely to boot you further back.

Demand for Oasis tickets is astronomical, but if you're tempted to secure tickets through less nefarious means then DON'T.

Seriously, Oasis have issued a statement warning people only to buy tickets from legitimate sites.

They said: "We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale.

"Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters."

You could end up spending a fortune on illegitimate tickets and not even get into the gig.

Where will Oasis tickets be sold?

Fans will be able to buy tickets from 9am on Saturday 31st August from SEE Tickets, Ticketmaster and GIGSANDTOURS. Hospitality packages will also be available via Seat Unique.

Tickets will be limited to four per household, per show. Under 14s will not be allowed and those under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.
