In the film, the Damsel receives a marriage proposal from a handsome prince and hesitantly accepts.

However, after meeting the prince and his family, she realises she is trapped and is only being used as a sacrifice in an attempt to pay the royal family's ancient debts.

Elodie is pushed into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must attempt to escape while surviving attacks from the creature, using nothing but her will and wits to stay alive.

The film is called Damsel, and you can check out the trailer below:

Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the fantasy film was originally slated to hit screens in late 2023, but it was delayed by the SAG-AFTRA strike and was rescheduled for release in March 2024.

Millie Bobby Brown has gradually been moving on from her role as Eleven in Stranger Things with acting roles in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, its sequel Godzilla vs. Kong, and as the titular character in Enola Holmes and its sequel.

With the final season of the hit Netflix series set to drop in late 2024 or early 2025, it means that we will see the 20-year-old actress in more titles like Damsel.

Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film has been very well-received by fans, who can't help but praise in on social media.

Millie Bobby Brown stars as the lead character in the Netflix film.

A different user posted: "Millie is the future of the movie industry," which received over 100 like and love reactions from other users.

If you haven't seen it yet, not to worry, as Damsel is available to stream on Netflix now.
