There are so many films specifically made for this time of year it can all get a bit overwhelming to be honest.

And Netflix is absolutely heaving with Christmas films, with different ones tempting me every day but I still have no idea what to watch.

I mean, do I rewatch Nativity! for the billionth time or should I actually try something new?

After one too many debates about just what we’re going to choose for movie night, there’s a handy hack to help make it a little easier.

Netflix viewers previously claimed their lives have been 'changed for the better' after simply typing in '9875' instead of browsing through the endless list of options.

This little trick helped viewers access a whole page of just True Crime docs.

But if you’re after something a little more festive, you can use specific codes to divvy up all the Christmas content.

There’s two ways of going about it, the first is to simply just type the code into the streaming site’s search bar.

Or, you can enter it into the URL by typing: www.netflix.com/browse/genre/ - and then the code.

Users on social media were buzzing to discover an easier way to find what they want to watch as they call it the ‘best’ method for Netflix.

Another added: “I didn’t think this would work this is really cool thank you.”

And one put: “I never knew these secret Netflix codes existed!”

If you’re not fancying a festive film try one of these other codes instead:

· Classic Action & Adventure - 46576
