Fans think they've spotted an Easter egg for the long-awaited finale of Stranger Things in season one of the popular show.

Some were left gravely disappointed, even picking out moments such as Will Byers coming out and the directors' execution of them.
The Duffer Brothers have been responding to questions from the fans, which have raged on in the days since the season five finale, where we finally see the gang defeat Vecna.
Numerous viewers have been raising some good points and 'plotholes' about the finale, while others have gone back to older episodes to search for Easter eggs or hints towards the ending.
We all know what The Abyss looks like after seeing it and the horrifying Mind Flayer taking its place upon it.
The spider-like creature fits in perfectly with Vecna's love of spiders, with it first appearing in season two after it possessed Vecna in a cave when he was a boy known as Henry Creel.
The Mind Flayer was its own entity before Henry became Vecna, with the former sculpting him into the scary figure we see in the series.
But before the battle took place between the beast and Dustin, Eleven, Nancy and co, people were taken aback by the horrific sight as The Abyss was planted in the ground with its legs up in the air, almost like a tree.
Most fans couldn't quite put their finger on where they'd seen it before, but some pointed out that it was a call-back to a poster seen in the background during season one of Stranger Things.

One took to Facebook, noting: "'The Abyss' from Stranger Things - Season 5 Vol 2 - Easter Egged in Season 1, Episode 2 at 22min mark… Looks like it a Dungeon & Dragons Poster based on 'D' that’s seen to left of the lamp and lettering on the right - thoughts fam?" accompanied with a screenshot of the moment.
Others noted that it's linked to the poster for 1982 film The Dark Crystal, as a second viewer pointed out: "And suddenly the theory of everything being Mikes imagination is kinda making sense... That's literally in his room," linked it to a suggested fan theory.

A third pointed out: "IT HAS THE YELLOW LIGHTNING AND CRACKS TOO OMG," as many believe that the story occurs in Mike Wheeler's mind.
A different fan suggested that 'the cracks' could mean something, while one simply stated: "That's a poster of The Dark Crystal movie ... It was foreshadowing the ending."
