Tom Hardy's American accent has caused a stir online following the release of his latest film.
It's called Havoc, and the action-thriller film dropped on Friday 25 April for Netflix viewers to enjoy.
Starring the likes of the British actor alongside Timothy Olyphant, Jessie Mei Li and Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker, the title follows Walker (Hardy) as he fights through the criminal underworld to save a politician's son.
The all-action movie wasn't easy to film, as Hardy said that one of the scenes had him thinking that he was 'not gonna make this', after 10 minutes of intense fighting while wearing thermals in Wales, in the summer.
But after cutting most of the shirt away, the Venom actor got through it all in one piece, before fans zeroed in on another detail of his acting performance.

Currently ranked as the number one film on the streaming platform, Havoc has received some criticism after Hardy tried his hand at a different accent.
Known for his cockney accent and a decent enough American accent in certain roles, the 47-year-old attempted a New York-sounding accent this time around.
Fans picked up on the new accent and took to X to share what they thought, with one writing: "I don't ever want to hear Tom Hardy speak without the British Accent."
Another said: "I can never take Tom Hardy’s American accent seriously," with a third adding: "Tom Hardy’s attempt at the American accent will never not be funny. It’s like he doesn’t even try."
A fourth simply wrote: "You need subtitles for Tom Hardy movies. Especially when they have him do this terrible American accent."
Hardy tried to put a New York accent on for Havoc (Samir Hussein/WireImage) However, the actor himself has acknowledged that he may not be the best at US accents, previously speaking about 2023 film The Bikeriders to Variety.
Hardy admitted that he was 'not sure that I did nail' the midwest accent, though he did also explain that simply replicating a dialect was not his main concern when shooting the title.
Speaking about his performance in the film, which also starred Austin Butler, he added: “You look straight away at a biker movie and think, ‘Oh, it’s leather. It’s sexy. The music’s great. The hair’s great.
“The obvious choice is to play to all of these. So the obvious choice for somebody like me is to go to the counterpoint of all those. This guy is a tragic clown.”
The actor has acknowledged past struggles with the American accent (Samir Hussein/WireImage) He posed: “Where’s the pathetic element? Where’s the wretch? Where’s the embarrassing moments? Where’s the weaknesses? I need to flesh this guy out.
"Why is the voice a little bit creepy? Why is it a little like Bugs Bunny? What can we imbue this stud with that’s so un-studly that I can identify with it? Because I’m not that!” the actor admitted at the time.
Havoc is available to stream on Netflix now.
