Get ready because Prime Video’s new series is about to turn the crime genre on its head.

Yes that’s right, people; Deadloch is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

From the brainchild of Get Krack!n duo Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, this Prime Video series follows the fictional Tasmanian town of Deadloch, where the biggest crime committed is probably a pensioner on the dole stealing a Christmas ham from the local grocer.

However, this once sleepy seaside hamlet is left reeling when a body turns up dead on the beach.

As a result, a team of detectives are sworn in, which include senior sergeant Dulcie Collins (Kate Box), senior investigator Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) and overzealous junior constable Abby (Nina Oyama).

While searching for the killer, they realise that the town’s mayor also washed up dead on the same beach five years ago.

However, the more they begin to pull at the thread, the more they realise they could have a full-blown ‘code black’ on their hands.

And if that weren’t stressful enough, these officers must find the killer while Deadloch hosts its annual crafts, culture and cooking event - where the biggest red hot issue is whether Aunty Kath's tea cake will triumph over Reverend Joe’s salted caramel brownies at the Winter Feastival.

These detectives must put their differences aside to solve the case of this grizzly murder in this otherwise peaceful town.

But don’t worry; if you have any police tips, Officer Sven Alderman has advised locals to ‘write a note and leave it in the anonymous koala tip jar’.

Yep, these guys might just be a tad out of their depth...

Deadloch isn’t just a hilarious comedy starring some of Australia’s funniest comedians but a juicy crime series that will have you guessing at every turn.

The series also includes a fantastic ensemble cast of comedic talent, including Tom Ballard, Susie Youssef and Alicia Gardiner.

So make sure you’ve signed up for a membership, as Deadloch will be exclusively released on Prime Video on June 2, with new episodes available every Friday. Start your 30-day free trial today.
