Scarlett Moffatt Got Revenge On School Bullies Years Later In Supermarket

The I'm A Celeb winner had a 'mic drop moment' when she ran into one of her school bullies years later

Scarlett Moffatt has revealed the ‘mic drop moment’ she got revenge on one of the bullies who picked on her while she was at school.

Moffatt, 31, has been open about the bullying she endured during her school years and has said the bullies made her life a ‘living hell’.

Speaking on Annie Mac's Changes podcast, she said: "I think the worst day was when one of the people that bullied me had kicked me in a puddle and I was just properly drenched.

"I can remember feeling really let down.

"I remember going to the headteacher and pouring my heart and soul out ... they actually made my life a living hell."

However, fast forward 11 years and Moffatt became a much-loved TV star, even winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016 – meaning she felt confident enough to put one of the bullies in her place.

She told the podcast: "I still live in the same village I grew up in and sometimes I see the people that used to bully me.

"When I'd just won I'm A Celebrity I was in Asda and this girl came up to me and said, 'You know, I've got two young girls and I keep telling them we were friends!'

"I just went, 'I really hope your little girls never meet anyone like you when they're at school,' and I walked out.

"It felt like a mic drop moment, but it was a basket.

"I dropped my basket and left."

The former Gogglebox star said she became the target of cruel bullies while at school due to an accident in which she damaged her teeth. She was also diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy.

“I was on my bike when I was 11 and a car hit me,” she explained.

“The nerves had gone, so I had black teeth at the front.

“So I had black teeth as well as a monobrow, and I was a little bit chubby, and then half my face was on the slide.”

Fortunately for Moffatt she moved schools and was able to overcome the bullies and gain some ‘new-found confidence’.

She explained: “I knew I had to make friends. Once I moved school and puberty hit over the six-weeks holiday, all of a sudden I got boobs, my mam let me wax my eyebrows and I went and got my hair done.

"I just had this new-found confidence.”
