Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has had an adjustment to his prison release date, and could be out earlier than previously reported.
The rapper is serving a 50‑month after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last year, having been cleared of racketeering and sex trafficking charges in the same criminal trial.
He had previously been scheduled for release on 15 April 2028.
However, Federal Bureau of Prisons records, obtained by E! News, have revealed that this date has now shifted forward, and Combs will be released on 23 February 2028.

It’s not the first time his release date has been moved.
When he was sentenced, his release was listed 8 May 2028, which was then moved to 4 June 2028.
This year, it was once again moved to 25 April 2028, before changing once again to 15 April 2028.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has declined to comment on individual cases, but told USA Today that ‘general reasons’ a prison may have their release date brought forward included ‘good conduct time, time credits from approved programs and activities and credit for time served before sentencing’.
Combs is currently behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
His lawyers requested he serve his sentence at the jail because of its treatment program and how close it is to Combs’ family.
In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix," his attorney Teny Geragos wrote in a filing last October.

The new release date comes as Combs continues to appeal the conviction.
Lawyers working on behalf of Combs’ filed appeals for both the conviction and the sentence back in December.
The appeal claims that the sexual encounters that are at the centre of the high-profile case were consensual.
His lawyers also argued that the sentence was excessive, and have called for his ‘immediate release’.
Federal prosecutors have urged an appeals court to reject those arguments.
In court documents obtained by People, prosecutors claimed Combs was a ‘repeat offender’ and said the judge had given proper thought and consideration to the evidence.
The appeal is currently pending before the US Court of Appeals.
