Floyd Mayweather has spoken out about his 'legacy' and how it may have been impacted following his fight with YouTuber Logan Paul.

Neither man could knock the other out, with 26-year-old Paul somehow going the distance with the 44-year-old boxing legend.

Responding to accusations he's 'damaged his legacy' by taking the fight, Mayweather - who adopted the 'Money' moniker over 15 years ago - said: "They say 'It's not all about the money'... well, your kids can't eat legacy.

"Patches on my trunk, that's $30 million alone. So who's really the smartest one in the sport of boxing?

"If you guys don't wanna see me do no exhibitions, don't come. Don't watch. When it comes to legalised bank robbing, I'm the best.

"I don't care if y'all write good stories, I don't care if y'all write bad stories. At the end of the day I will always have the last laugh."

He continued: "Damn, I'm writing this story about Floyd. Look at the house I go to and look at the house he go to.

"Then all the guys y'all said was extraordinary, the Canelos [Alvarez], the [Manny] Pacquiaos, I made them look ordinary.

"And then when I see there's a chance for me to do a heist, a quick heist, at the end of the day, I'm the smart one.

"They say 'Oh Floyd don't look good like he used to look'... my bank account looking better and better each and every day."

After the fight took place, some viewers were coming to conclusions that the 50-0 boxer clocked the YouTuber in the face and then rushed in to grab him and held him up, in a bid to keep the pair going all the way into the eighth round, presumably so more money could be made.

Paul has now set the record straight on his Instagram stories. He said: "Yo, I'm seeing this narrative going around that, there's one part in the fight where Floyd punched me and I kind of leaned on him a little bit. It looks like I kind of went limp.

"People are trying to spin it and say he knocked me out and caught me and kept me up to keep the fight going to the eighth round.

"Shut the f*** up. Like, just shut the f*** up. Like, stop trying to discredit what happened last night. Make no mistake, he got a lot of good punches in; there's a couple of photos I got f***ed up in a couple of shots, I didn't know my face could make that shape.

"But never rocked, never blacked out, never obviously got knocked out. He didn't hold me up, he tried to take me out but he couldn't. It was great."
