The Boys star Karl Urban has revealed the date for when Season 4 will begin filming.

Season 3 has certainly shocked viewers in typical The Boys style, with epic plot twists revealing that Victoria Newman (Claudia Doumit) was adopted by Vought CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito), and the revelation that Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) is alive.

Urban, who plays the fierce, foul-mouthed leader of the superhero killing gang, Billy Butcher, teased that fans may be seeing the stellar cast back together sooner than anticipated.

"Yeah, we're starting I think August the 22nd, we're going to be starting season four," he explained (via Collider).

"So I'm getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can't wait.

"It's a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can't wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.”

The Boys is already well into Season 3, with seven out of eight episodes having already been released.

With this announcement, fans can only hope that the time between this season and next is not too agonising, and that stars Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Tomer Kapon and Laz Alonso, are gracing our screens with profanity, carnage and utter chaos again in no time.
