People stunned after discovering who rich kid in £200k Lamborghini is now he’s all grown up

You may remember him from a viral 2018 video...

2018 was a magical year for viral fame, as that’s when we were introduced to this absolute gem.

Even though it’s been seven years since a TikTok video skyrocketed this person to fame and heights like no other, if you say the name, everyone is going to know who you’re talking about.

Unless you see him in person right now.

Ageing is a funny thing.

It can make you look completely different, particularly if it’s plain old puberty.

We all remember how we looked at 11, right?

But when TikTok sensation Daniel Mac did his usual schtick of asking passers-by what they do for a living, he was baffled when it turned out that he was talking to a viral sensation.

Uploading a video to the platform, Daniel saw a teenager pulling around in a Lamborghini and decided to spring into action and ask him about himself.

At first, the young guy seemed unsure, before he revealed that he sings ‘country music’.

He then was asked his age and explained that he is now 18, as he ‘had a birthday a couple days ago’.

But here came the big reveal when Daniel asked: “So, are you famous or something?”

To which the person shared: “I got started yodelling in a Walmart a while back.”

That’s right, it’s Mason Ramsey, the ‘Walmart Yodelling Kid’.

Mason rose to online fame in 2018 at the age of 11 thanks to a now-deleted Twitter clip of him yodelling in an Illinois Walmart.

His version of the song 'Lovesick Blues' by Hank Williams shot him to fame and Atlantic Records and Big Loud both took him on with a joint-record deal.

In July of that year, he then released his debut EP, 'Famous'.

His life became instantly changed, and he even went to Coachella to perform the song that made him famous.

He also got the last laugh when a 22-year-old Matt Rife tried to publicly humiliate him when he was 12.

The caption for Matt’s tweet said of Mason in a picture with Post Malone: “F***s on your forhead? Some gum?”

Mason quickly replied: “It’s a birthmark. Not all of us are perfect.”

That was a great year for social media.

By the way, it’s spelt ‘forehead’.

Daniel was absolutely gobsmacked by the news and when Mason invited him to hop in the car, he of course said yes.

As it turns out, Mason is halfway through touring right now and was in LA to play at ‘The Roxy’ on the day that he was stopped by the TikToker.

The pair began driving with the interviewer asking: “What was that like, the initial blow up?”

As Mason was so young and not really in the know with social media, it was a big change for him.

He said: “I was just singing in a Walmart and someone filmed me and it just kind of took off, and I didn’t know about it until a week later.

“I wasn’t really exposed to social media as a kid- I didn’t grow up on the internet.”

While he’s not really been in the spotlight since his rise to fame, he’s still been quietly making music and sharing his talents with the world.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, Mason opened up about his rise to fame, saying: "I never expected that to happen to be honest with you.

"I'm glad to know that people still remember me."

Discussing how his TikTok videos have racked up millions of views, he explained: "No matter how many people are there, I would always still love to sing and perform."
