Adam Sandler has shared his thoughts on a viral video showing him being turned away from an IHOP [formerly International House of Pancakes] restaurant after a 17-year-old server told him there was a 30 minute wait and didn't recognise him.

Despite not getting his food, Sandler obviously has no hard feelings about the incident, and took to Twitter to offer a witty response to the whole situation.
He wrote: "For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn't apply to the milkshakes."

What a guy, he's taken it all in his stride clearly, and even found the time to praise both the restaurant's grub and the attitude of the server who told him about the wait time.
In the original TikTok video, Rodas shared a video of herself with a clown face filter, then the CCTV footage from the restaurant in Manhasset, Long Island, admitting that she didn't realise who he was at the time.
To be fair, Adam Sandler might not be the kind of guy who would want to use his celebrity status to get into a busy IHOP anyway.
She wrote: "Not realising it's Adam Sandler and telling him it's a 30mins wait and him ofc leaving bc he's not going to wait 30mins for IHOP."
Dayanna captioned the video: "Pleaseee come back."
She later shared another video explaining why she didn't recognise him, stating that his facial hair and mask made it more difficult to spot who he was.

She said: "It's because he had a big beard, and I've never seen Adam Sandler with a beard.
"And the mask didn't help."
Since the incident, thousands of others have weighed in with their opinion, with many praising Sandler for just being 'normal' and saying that Dayanna did the right thing in simply treating him like everyone else.
Of course, she didn't recognise him, but still.
One commented: "He just glad someone treated him normal. Much respect for you and Adam."
Another said: "Hey, you were just doing your job. And I agree with him, sometimes you don't want to wait for a table."
A third person simply wrote: "I mean, I wouldn't wait that long for IHOP either."
