While Sandler is a bit of a Marmite kinda guy, whether you love or hate his films, it seems everyone's in agreement that Happy Gilmore should get the top spot.
In the first semi-final, with 64 percent of the vote, The Waterboy eased past Uncut Gems, which took 21.3 percent alongside Anger Management (13.3 percent) and Reign Over Me (just 1.4 percent).
With the second semi, Happy Gilmore defeated everything with a whopping 82 percent. Meanwhile, Don't Mess with the Zohan took 8.7 percent, Little Nicky got 6.5 percent and Punch-Drunk Love received just 2.4 percent.

Pot three saw The Longest Yard rack up 52.9 percent of the vote, beating out competition from Billy Madison, Click and Funny People, which earned 24.6, 19.6 and 2.9 percent respectively.
Clearly viewers didn't find Funny People, well, all that funny.
And then in the fourth vote, the people decided Grown Ups should get the win, with 39.7 in agreement. Second place went to Big Daddy (32.2 percent) and third to 50 First Dates (14.7 percent), leaving The Wedding Singer (13.4 percent) in last place.

In the final, Happy's titular hockey-player-turned-golfer was pitted against The Waterboy, The Longest Yard and Grown Ups, which he easily won with over half of the 11,943 votes.
Understandably, with a topic that is so divisive, there were bound to be lots of people who were unwilling to accept defeat.
"Billy Madison. End of debate," wrote one user, while another declared: "Correct answer is Big Daddy!! Ashamed it's not in the final."
However, there were a fair few who agreed with the results, with one writing: "Easy decision," alongside a gif from one of the film's funnier moments (it's all in the hips).

"Gilmore, Billy Madison and The Wedding Singer are by far the 3 best," said another, with a third adding: "Rated Uncut Gems tbf but Happy Gilmore is unrivalled".
