In possibly the best news ever, the people behind the legendary stunt crew known as Jackass are going to return to the big screen.

A fourth film from the lads is slated for release in early 2021 - March 5 if Deadline is correct.

It will have been more than nine years since we've seen the Jackass crew pulling absolutely wild stunts and the appetite for the film is certainly huge.

Fans have been begging for another instalment to the franchise ever since Jackass 3D premiered in 2010. Star Johnny Knoxville has toyed with the idea for several years and told everyone that it could very well happen.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "It's possible, for sure. It's not like we're saying no. If we did do a new one, we'd have to bring in some new younger guys - just to bring some fresh blood into it. But it's possible."

Knoxville revealed that there is still loads of material for the crew to get up to so it wouldn't be difficult to get a fourth movie together.

"I still write ideas down, just in case I get that twitch again. We're sitting on a ton of new ideas. There was so many that we didn't get to shoot for Jackass 3. We have more ideas than we could shoot for Jackass 4, I'll tell you that," he added.

"It's a comedy, but a few of my friends and family members are over that part of it. I totally understand where they're coming from. I've been doing this for so long, it's kind of tough to stop. I gotta take care of myself, but God, I don't want to stop. Am I sick?"

"If we did Jackass 4, I would commit. But I may need to give my family a break for a second."

There's no word on who is returning for the fourth film but we have our fingers and toes crossed that it will be the original crew.

The team have admitted that it will be weird returning to make content without Ryan Dunn, who died in a tragic car accident in 2011. A lot of people have said that it would be a great idea to dedicate their latest effort to Dunn.
