Netflix's You Has Been Renewed For A Third Season

WARNING: THERE ARE NO OBVIOUS SPOILERS... NOTHING. APART FROM THE FACT THERE'S GOING TO BE A THIRD SEASON...

Netflix has announced that it will be bringing You back for a third season, following the success of the first two series, and confirmed to LADbible that we can expect the new outing to debut in 2021.

The news has emerged less than three weeks after Season 2 dropped, and while the length of future series has yet to be confirmed, Variety suggests the third instalment will consist of 10 episodes.

The existence of a new series might not come as that much of a surprise to you if you happened to see Penn Badgley, who plays the menacing Joe/Will, speaking to Entertainment Tonight.

The 33-year-old actor seemed to slip up while discussing the possibility of a female killer being found out in the current series, as he said: "She doesn't appear to be the same kind of person. She doesn't appear to be the same kind of predator. She doesn't appear to be the same kind of... you know, dare I say, in the third season - oh, God!"

Oh God indeed.

Realising his mistake, Badgley slapped his head before adding: "I literally know nothing about the third season."

Off the back of the reviews from the second season, it's not hard to understand why the streaming service opted to give the show a third.

One person on social media wrote: "You season 2 is so good, haven't finished yet but I can definitely say they really did a good job. The plot is so absurd but all the characters are SO interesting. Candace is the baddest b****, I love her."

Another added: "Help, I can't stop watching You season 2. I am glued to my bed all night."

While a third said: "Just finished the new season of You. Yes I've been up since 3am and wasn't gonna sleep until I've finished... and let me tell you... that damn Joe."
